    Guide My Vote (the “Site”) is owned, operated, and built by Aloha Websites, LLC (“we,” “us”). This policy explains what information we collect and how we use it. By using the Site you agree to this policy.

    Account information: if you create an account, your email address, name, and password (stored securely by our authentication provider).

    Your values: answers you give in “My values.” Signed in, they are saved to your account. As a guest, they stay only in your browser on your device.

    Campaign accounts: if you claim or manage a candidate profile, the details you submit, such as contact info, verification details, bios, photos, and positions.

    Usage data: basic technical info such as browser type, pages viewed, and approximate location from your IP address, used to keep the Site running and improve it.

    2. How we use information

    To provide and improve the Site, save your preferences, verify campaign claims, send account and service emails (like password resets and verification codes), prevent abuse, and meet legal obligations.

    3. What we don’t do

    We do not sell your personal information. Your values are never shared with candidates or campaigns, and we don’t use them for political targeting.

    4. Sharing

    We share information only with service providers who help run the Site (hosting, database, email, payments) under confidentiality obligations, when required by law, or to protect the rights and safety of users and the Site. Public candidate profile content is visible to everyone.

    5. Cookies and local storage

    We use cookies and browser storage to keep you signed in, remember your theme and guest values, and understand basic Site usage. You can clear them in your browser settings at any time.

    6. Data security and retention

    We use reasonable safeguards to protect your data, but no system is perfectly secure. We keep account data while your account is active and as needed for legal or business purposes.

    7. Your choices

    You can update your profile, clear your values, or ask us to delete your account and data by emailing charles@alohawebsites.com. Depending on where you live, you may have extra rights to access, correct, or delete your information.

    8. Children

    The Site is not directed to children under 13, and we don’t knowingly collect their personal information.

    9. Changes

    We may update this policy. We’ll post the new version here with an updated date.
